Tommy and I had been friends for years, before deciding to start Orange Mango. Tommy had been running his own general contracting firm after having worked for a residential real estate developer. I had just left the hedge fund industry and was waiting for my non-compete agreement to expire. Tommy stumbled upon a rehabbing opportunity which he brought to me. That experience turned out to be very rewarding so we tried it again. The next project was also a lot of fun so we decided to make a company of it. Tommy, via Towner Construction handles all GC responsibilities. I, via Abahati Inc., with input from Tommy handle the management--administrative, investment capital, accounting, etc. Both of us decide strategic direction and investment decisions.
